Vladimir Mayakovsky - poet, futurist. On the one hand, we see a protesting poet, on the other, a lyrical hero. There are contradictions in everything. He fights against God, but at the same time there is a religious feeling in his soul. In 1923, the poet's “visiting card” appeared - the “ladder”, which helped him read poetry correctly.
His work flourished after the revolution. If 5 years before 1917 he wrote one volume of poems and poems, then 12 years after this year - 11 volumes.
His poems combined pathos with a venomous satire. But, nevertheless, Mayakovsky’s most famous poems went down in the history of Soviet literature; he was one of the greatest poets of the 20th century.
10. And could you?
It was written in 1913, and it came to literature in 1912. It shows how beautiful the world around us is. And it depends only on the person, how to perceive what surrounds him: as gray and boring, or as a bright world.
Lyrical hero of the poem "Could you?"- an incorrigible optimist, something greatly pleased him.
Unusual associations arise in his head, and he prides himself on seeing the beautiful.
9. Letter to Tatyana Yakovleva
It was published in 1956, although Mayakovsky wrote it in 1928. He was inspired by the story of a Russian woman who emigrated to France.
The poet once visited Paris, and there he met Tatyana Yakovleva, who moved abroad in 1925. Mayakovsky liked her, moreover, he fell in love with her and offered to return to the USSR together, but she refused.
The poet was serious, was ready to marry Tatyana, but she made him understand that she would be with him only in France, where Vladimir was supposed to move.
Reading the poem "Letter to Tatyana Yakovleva"We understand that the poet is torn between two feelings: love for the motherland and for a woman.
From the very first lines it shows that patriotism is not an empty phrase for him. Moreover, he does not hide his attitude to Russia, does not embellish and does not hide, describing it.
He knows that the woman he loves will refuse him, she is not ready to exchange France for her homeland, but, nevertheless, promises to win her love.
8. Flute-spine (poem)
The poem was written in 1915. Mayakovsky began to write it in the autumn of this year and finished by November. Initially, he dedicated it to Lila Brik, she was called "Poems to her."
When the poem was printed for the first time, some of its parts were seized by royal censorship, and later it was also printed in shortened form.
This work was fully printed only in 1919, and then received the name "Flute spine».
This is one of the most autobiographical poems in the work of the poet. In the image of the lyrical hero Mayakovsky himself, in addition to him, she talks about Lila Brik and her husband Osip.
The author shows himself as a sufferer of Christ. But, nevertheless, Mayakovsky sings his love, although he understands that it is hopeless. For her sake, he is ready for the possible and the impossible, he would like to give her a crown.
The lyrical hero loves, but he is rejected, his soul suffers and has come to deep despair, love brings only suffering and has become a kind of curse. He asks God to end this unbearable suffering.
7. Passport
Vladimir Vladimirovich was proud that he was a citizen of the USSR. In the 1920s, they feared Soviet Russia, they hated it, there was an iron curtain between the West and the USSR.
Few were released abroad, and among them was a young poet. He could compare life in Russia and in European countries, and, based on his feelings, write.
In the poem "The passport»We see how the lyrical hero goes through customs and watches how attitudes toward people change depending on the country. If this is an Englishman, servility is felt, a solid tip is expected from the American, while the USSR passport is perceived as a snake or a bomb.
Mayakovsky seemed to laugh at the Western world, shouting that he was above the rotten and old.
6. What is good and what is bad
Mayakovsky wrote not only complex works, but also simple children's poems, which are still relevant today.
In 1925, his poem appeared "What is good and what is bad". Writing poetry for kids is not as easy as it might seem, but the poet believed that his direct duty was to educate a new generation.
In children, the world is very simple: everything in it is either bad or good. The father needs to answer the child’s question, and this answer is very important, because he forms the concept of good and evil, of justice.
He begins with the simplest - the sun in the sky is good, and the wind and rain are bad. And then it lists the situations that the children understand. In the end, the child becomes clear that you need to do only well.
5. Nate!
The poem was written in 1913. The young and impudent poet decided to expose the people of his age. He writes that there is a decomposition of society, the level of culture drops sharply.
The surrounding reality depressed the poet. The First World War was on, people lived in difficult conditions, suffered. But there were those who made money on this.
Young Mayakovsky with his characteristic strength confronts this crowd, expresses his contempt in the poem "Nate!". He considers himself free, not limited by any framework.
He understands that his poems cannot be appreciated, moreover, people can be dangerous if they get together.
4. Listen!
Most of the poet's poems are sharp, rebellious. But there are gentle, lyrical and sensitive. One of them - "Listen up!", It appeared in 1914.
In it, he talks about the stars. There are 2 interpretations of this verse. Some researchers suggest that stars are poetic creativity, while others are human life. In it, the poet turns to God, bringing him closer to a simple person.
This is a kind of monologue of a lyrical hero, in the first part of which we hear rhetorical questions, then we learn that he is grateful to God for lighting these stars to illuminate their path.
3. Lilichka!
The famous poem appeared in 1916, and was addressed to Lily Brik. A year has already passed since they met, and Mayakovsky decided to pour on the paper sheet a stream of his strong intimate experiences.
Researchers wrote that this is the most authentic poem of all that he wrote.
«Lilichka!"From the first reading forever remains in the memory, because it describes an unusual, unlike anything else, man’s love for a woman.
As one of the critics said, this is a song of triumphant love.
2. Loudly (poem)
This is the last poem of the poet, written in 1930. Then he was preparing for his anniversary exhibition, dedicated to 20 years of his work. And he decided that it was time for him to turn to the descendants himself, and not expect what critics would tell about him.
The poemIn a loud voice"Appeared at a time when his activities were severely criticized. This is what prompted him to appeal to his readers directly.
He wanted to create a grandiose work, but managed to make only an introduction. After that, he never worked on this last of his work, because in April of the same year committed suicide. But the poem is still considered a finished work. In it, he decided to talk about himself and about his time, and he did it very harshly.
For him, poetry is part of it, part of life, work that should motivate people, it’s a weapon, and the poet is its servant.
1. Cloud in pants (poem)
The poet wrote this work in the years 1914-1915. It was originally called “The Thirteenth Apostle».
During trips around Russia with futurists, he meets Maria Denisova. The girl refused to enter into close relations with Mayakovsky, which severely injured him, but also became a source of inspiration.
The first part is dedicated to the lyrical hero, waiting for his beloved. The second part is poetry, which should, in his opinion, be the poetry of struggle. In the third part, he denies the cruel and inhumane political system.
In the fourth, the poet writes again about love, his hero remains with a bloodied heart.
«A cloud in pants"- a rebel work, Mayakovsky himself said that it was 4 screams, he has a simple slogan -" Down! ".
