Imagine a world where giant mechanical robots go into battle along with cavalry against the backdrop of rural countryside landscapes. Polish artist and illustrator Jakub Rozalski embodied this in his fascinating 1920+ project.
The scenes depict rural settlements in Poland at the beginning of the 20th century, where peaceful villagers conduct their daily work against the backdrop of huge mechanical robots and military vehicles moving into battle.
All the paintings were painted in oil and, according to the author, he spent no more than 30 minutes on creating each illustration from this cycle.
